The FluidPC Vortex EX has been given a huge makeover and has made the transition to the Intel Core 2 Duo platform! The changes affect several components including: the motherboard, the CPU and the RAM. In addtion to those components, the power supply’s options have changed. We are excited to add the 450 watt and 550 watt Sunbeamtech NUUO series of modular power supplies to the Vortex EX line-up.
The Intel G965 Express chipset enabled ASUS P5B-VM motherboard provides an excellent foundation for this SFF gaming powerhouse. Goodies like FireWire, Gigabit LAN and an external SATA port really add to the functionality of this little beast.
The Intel Core 2 Duo options run the gamut from the entry level E6300 all the way to the X6800 Extreme. Sporting Intel dual core technology, these CPUs are the CPU to have right now - without question.

The light as a feather, aluminum Ultra Aluminus can now be found on all the FluidPC Typhoon series of custom gaming computers. Sporting a nice, big windowed side panel, a drive bay shield, a drive bay connector panel and all aluminum construction, the Aluminus really hits the mark with not only a great looking case, but functional as well. Two 120mm fan mounts are located on the case (1 in the front, 1 in the rear), so not only will you be able to keep it cool, but it’ll be quieter too (120mm fans typically move more air but are quieter due to their lower RPM).

Now you can configure your Typhoon ultimate gaming PC with a very cool Cooler Master CM Stacker 830 chassis. Featuring all aluminum construction, mesh side & front panels and tons of options for fan mountings - which add up to excellent thermal performance - this is one cool chassis - literally.
If you are thinking about configuring an SLI system, this should be a heavy consideration as the cooling options available to you with this chassis are VERY good. Just when the Saitek Eclipse was quickly becoming our favorite keyboard, along comes the Saitek Eclipse II keyboard. With the Eclipse II you are given control over what backlighting you want with the ability to switch between purple, red and blue LED backlighting. Combine that with having the same styling as the original Saitek Eclipse - not only do you have a great feeling, functional keyboard under your fingertips, but a cool looking keyboard as well.

The Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu LED has been added to both the Shockwave and Vortex lines. The CNPS7000B-Cu’s performance AND looks were a contributing factor in this decision. Sporting an all copper heatsink (copper transfers heat better than aluminum) and a blue LED fan, the Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu gets the job done - not only quietly - but while looking good in the process.

Complete with High Definition 8 channel onboard AC97 audio, onboard GB LAN, (1)PCI-Express X16 slot, (6)SATA II ports, - and support for the new Intel Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme CPUs - makes this a good basis with which to customize that hot, new gaming PC you’ve been waiting for.
As the title of this post says, yes, the new Intel CPUs are now available. You can configure a Typhoon EX with these powerhouses right now. These processors are literally blowing away the competition - in price AND performance - at the moment.
To compliment this ASUS motherboard and Intel Core 2 processor combination, we’ve also added Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 (PC6400) to the mix. This memory sports 5-5-5-12 timings and some cool heatspreaders with 24 activity LEDs.
